Margarita (Margie) I. Givens, PA-C has been a respected and valuable member of the staff of Dermatology Associates since February of 2009. As a Certified Physician Assistant, Margie diagnosis and treats routine adult and pediatric dermatologic disorders. She performs skin exams, skin cancer screenings and in office procedures such as biopsies, cryosurgery and electrodessication and curettage. She also specializes in treating patients with acne and acute and chronic rashes. Margie is known as being one of the friendliest, most compassionate and most thorough practitioners in our practice and Dr. Bedi relies heavily on her for helping to manage her patients in order to maximize their care.

Before joining our practice in 2009, Margie had vast dermatology experience in the Miami area. She practiced cosmetic dermatology and performed procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, intense pulse light and laser hair removal treatments. In addition she assisted in dermatologic research at the Miami VA medical Center, where she had the opportunity to observe and learn from a myriad of dermatologic diseases. Margie is married to James Givens who works as a Financial Advisor and they have one daughter Melissa who is attending University of Alabama. She not only enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter but also visiting her relatives in Miami and Colombia. She enjoys traveling and outdoor activities. Margie is welcoming new patients and caring for established patients in the Sarasota, Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch offices and looks forward to help meet your dermatologic needs and serve the community.
